Pharmacy Collect: Changes to Service Specification

Changes will take effect from Monday 4th October, make sure you are ready
The amended service specification has been published and changes will take effect from Monday 4th October.
Here’s a quick glance at the changes/ updated service spec, but please read the full document before the 4th October.
- Weekly limit to 6 outers of Covid tests
- Only 2 x test boxes per transaction (down from 4) but please use your professional judgement if a patient asks for more
- Number supplied will need to be entered daily on MYS
- There is no minimum age for patients to collect a test kit (again use your professional judgement)
- Updated marketing materials will be delivered to the pharmacy
- Patients will be encouraged to obtain a collect code (16 digit code) before attending the pharmacy
- From gov.uk/get-collect-code or phoning 119
- The collect code will need to be recorded along with LOT number, date of collection and number of packs per transaction given when the patient collects
- The collect code is a unique and one time use code
- Packs can still be supplied as an anonymous collection if they don’t have a code
- Details captured as part of the transactions needs to be kept for 6 months
- Payment per transaction is changing to:
- £1.70 per transaction with collect code
- £1.20 per transaction for an anonymous collection
