NHS Service Finder - Important for all pharmacies to sign-up

NHS Service Finder is a non-public tool that pharmacy teams and health and care professionals can sign-up for to get information; including GP practice bypass telephone numbers

The NHS Service Finder team has produced a YouTube video aimed at healthcare professionals explaining why they should make use of the tool, which provides access to information from the Directory of Services (DoS) and nhs.uk.

NHS Service Finder is a free online search tool which provides access to information from the Directory of Services (DoS) and nhs.uk
It is not accessible by the public, but it does allow pharmacy team members and other healthcare professionals to search for service information quickly, allowing a patient to be signposted to the most appropriate service for their needs. The system includes maps and directions to the services, plus the ability to email service information directly to your patient.
This tool also enables pharmacy teams to look-up non-public telephone numbers (where available) for listed services, such as general practices.
Top tip: Sign-up now and bookmark the webpage (https://finder.directoryofservices.nhs.uk/) so you can return to it quickly.
CPSC encourage every pharmacy to sign-up accordingly.
NHS Service Finder have agreed that pharmacy contractors, LPC staff and members can all sign-up.
- Pharmacy contractors can sign-up most quickly when using their NHSmail address
- LPC staff and members can use any email address, as this may is useful to help support contractors in case of queries
