Managing a Temporary Closure of Pharmacy

If an emergency situation means your pharmacy needs to close for a short period, there are actions you need to take as a contractor to ensure patients are able to access their prescriptions and that your business can resume easily and effectively once the emergency has passed.

If you have Substance Misuse patients due to collect that day, please phone the prescriber as soon as possible in the morning to notify them so new prescriptions can be sorted and patients directed to alternative pharmacy.
