The following sessions are available from Health and Wellbeing:
Whether you manage one person or a team of people, leading can be challenging! Leadership Circles provide a safe, reflective space to come together with other managers to share experience. They are a series of short, themed online sessions based on 14 principles for leading compassionately through challenging times. Who can apply? Staff who are ‘people managers’ and have direct line management responsibilities eg Pharmacy Manager, Admin Team Leader, Senior Managers. Whether you manage one person or a team of people. Deaf Awareness Training One of the biggest problems that deaf people face is access to communication. We are delighted to partner with Terptree to provide deaf awareness training to colleagues across the ICS. This training will give you confidence in talking to deaf colleagues and patients. Support for cost of living struggles. There is a range of support available through the HIOW People Portal, such as a cost of living toolkit which signposts to resources on money, mental health, foodbanks and financial advice. There is also the Health and Wellbeing Support Service if you need further help on topics like stress management or general health and wellbeing. Physical activity has a huge potential to enhance our well-being Research shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing your risk of stress, clinical depression, dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Join in Conversations on Burnout. These six sessions of ‘Conversations on Burnout’ with Hazel Anderson-Turner will explore both preventing burnout for yourself, and for the people you work with and lead. You don’t have to attend all six sessions, you can join when you can and watch the recordings in your own time.
