Written by admin on Friday 8th January 2021

Welcome to the 14th email update relating to the 2020/21 season for all pharmacy contractors and pharmacists. Read on for more details...

You should soon receive your regular enewsletter from CPSC supporting you with this week's news articles and containing details of this year's flu seasonal service. If you don't receive the email soon then please contact the Office. A copy of the email is attached below.

CPSC has brought a series of communications to contractors to support them throughout this year's flu season.

Now that the flu season is now reaching its peak period within the population, we know many community pharmacy contractors and pharmacy teams are still eager to ensure the vaccination service maintains it's momemtum as we continue into the New Year and through these important coming winter months.

Key message to your teams - Community Pharmacy recognised locally for their excellent work

The Government wants flu vaccinations to continue to be promoted and delivered up to the end of the season. The letters being sent out to the 50-64 year olds are identifying community pharmacy as the preferred location under current circumstances.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight area is in the top 5 nationally for vaccination of all the eligible groups and community pharmacy was recently praised at the Oversight Group for our excellent contribution to this success.

It's therefore important for pharmacies to:

  • keep flu vaccine in-stock
  • keep availability of their vaccination service updated and current on their NHS web page
  • continue working together to achieve a Flu Free Wessex
