EPS Phase 4 pilot to be extended to more GP practices across England
Written by admin on Saturday 27th April 2019
There will be three GP practices in our locality going live soon - The Denmead Practice, The Clanfield Practice and the Portsdown Group Practice. For more information please read on....
Phase 4 of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is currently being piloted at a number of GP practices across England. This means that all community pharmacies in England need to be aware that they could now receive Phase 4 tokens from patients.
Additional GP practices will be joining the pilot from Tuesday 7th May 2019. Three of these practices, The Denmead Practice, The Clanfield Practice and Portsdown Group Practice, are in our CPSC area and so it is important that these pharmacies are aware of this and ready to receive Phase 4 tokens.
- The Denmead Practice is scheduled to go live with Phase 4 on Wednesday 8th May
- The Clanfield Practice is scheduled to go live with Phase 4 on Monday 13th May
- Portsdown Group Practice is scheduled to go live with Phase 4 on Tuesday 14th May
Detailed information for dispensers is available on the NHS Digital website and we have also been provided with some simple briefing summaries to help communicate the message with all community pharmacy teams. We would appreciate it if you could help cascade these messages with your team to help make sure that everyone is prepared for the changes.
Attached is a document containing short and long communications wording. Please use whichever versions are most appropriate for your channels and feel free to amend if required.
