Top tip: Keep your account active

To avoid your account being auto-disabled, make sure that you access your CHIE user account (whether that be either via a Single Sign On link or via the CHIE web portal) at least every 90 days.

CHIE user survey 22/23 - highlights

"CHIE gives me a better picture of my patient allowing me to provide patient centred care" 

511 people responded to the first CHIE annual benefits survey, providing valuable feedback about how they use the system and the ways in which it benefits them and the people for whom they care.

The full results will be published later this year, but here are some of the key takeaways:

  • ‍89% said that using CHIE saved time.
  • 79% said that using CHIE reduces the need to contact GPs for information.
  • 92% think that CHIE supports the provision and delivery of quality care.
  • 54% consider there to be a risk of patient harm if they didn't use CHIE.
  • 82% said that it would be useful to be able to view a shared care record for a patient outside HIOW.
